FAM (Fabbrica Auto-Moto veicoli Srl) based in Pesaro, was an Italian motorcycle brand, created in 1950 when Giovanni Benelli had disagreements with his brothers and started his own factory with his sons Luigi and Marco.
Motobi FAM initially called Moto and B, built machines from 98 cc to 250 cc which were mostly scooters. In 1954 the company was renamed Motobi. In 1957, after the death of Giovanni the lead taken by his sons Marco and Luigi.
In 1961 the declining motorcycle market drove the brothers back to Benelli but retained the leadership of the Motobi plant where the brand was still being used. When Alessandro De Tomaso in 1972 took over the brand Benelli, the Motobi name disappeared.
